The Ohio Senate on Wednesday approved a ban on transgender students using opposite-sex restrooms that “fit their gender identities,” sending the measure to Republican Governor Mike DeWine.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced on Monday that he has authorized state troopers to be stationed at each school building in Springfield, Ohio after a series of “unfounded bomb threats” took place.

On Wednesday, the Ohio Senate overrode Republican Governor Mike DeWine’s veto of a bill that would have prohibited biological men and boys who identify as transgender women and girls from participating on female school sports teams. It also prohibited “gender-affirming medical treatments” for minors.
